Acharya Kishore Kunal : Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Maharajji unveiled the statue of Padmashree Acharya Kishore Kunal at Mahavir Mandir, Patna, on 12.09.2025 at around 3:00 pm. Thousands of devotees from Bihar were present on this occasion.

Jagatguru Shankaracharya in Patna: Jagatguru Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Maharaj offered prayers at Mahavir Mandir and also unveiled the statue of Acharya Kishore Kunal. Also announced to field the Bihar election candidates. Jagatguru Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Maharaj arrived in the capital, Patna, on Friday. During this, he performed special worship at the famous and historic Mahavir Temple of Patna.

Special arrangements were made by the temple administration to welcome him here. In the temple premises, Shankaracharya first went to the sanctum sanctorum and worshiped Lord Hanuman with rituals. After this, he visited other deities installed in the temple and stopped at different places to offer prayers.

Sayan Kunal says that whether it is Virat Ramayan Mandir or Sita Rasoi of Ayodhya or Mahavir Cancer Institute, I will take them all to greater heights than my father. Sayan Kunal told Agnishakti News in the course of conversation that we will support Swami Avimukteshwarananda’s Gau Raksha Andolan in every way. He further said that whatever wishes of father remained unfulfilled, we and our wife Sambhavi Chaudhary, are busy fulfilling them.

 

Swami Avimukteshwarananda inspired Sayan Kunal, son of Acharya Kishore Kunal, to protect cows.

While talking to Agnishakti News, Shankaracharya  made a big political announcement. He said that in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, his supported candidates will contest every seat. He also made it clear that anyone who wants to protect the cow should vote for his candidates.

The list of candidates will be made public after the date of withdrawal of nomination so that there is no external pressure on them. Shankaracharya also announced that his ‘Gau Raksha Yatra’ will start on September 13 and will run till October 28, 2025.

This yatra will start from Sitamarhi and reach all 38 districts of the state. The purpose of this yatra is to organize cow protection and cow devotees and put them in the electoral fray.

Jagatguru Shankaracharya also visited the Navgrah Mandap built in Mahavir Mandir. This Mandap is located on the second floor of the temple. It was started a few days ago. People worship and chant here for planetary peace. Statues made of Kasauti stone of the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu are installed in this Mandap.

On this occasion, he also unveiled the statue of the late Acharya Kishore Kunal while paying tribute to him. This statue, specially prepared from Jaipur, is in a sitting posture and has been installed in the Mahavir Mandir premises. Along with the unveiling of the statue, Shankaracharya also released a book written by Acharya Kishore Kunal.

On this occasion, Acharya’s wife, his son Saayan Kunal,, and his daughter-in-law were also present. Shankaracharya praised Acharya Kishore Kunal’s work done in social service and national interest and said that he dedicated his entire life to the country. Tight security arrangements were made during the entire program.

Question : When was Patna Mahavir Mandir established?

Answer : The Mahavir Mandir of Patna was established around 1730 AD by Swami Balananda of the Ramanandi sect, although according to a Patna High Court verdict, this temple has existed since time immemorial and is a public temple. The present temple was built by Acharya Kishore Kunal between 1983 and 1985. The control of the Ramanand sect over this temple dates back to 1900 AD.
